History

START Group LLC was founded in 2016 as an Agile Transformation and Training consultancy. Over time, Agile Transformation dealt more with executive leadership needs, organizational cultural transformation, and the clear communication of vision and priorities.

Today, The START Group has distilled and developed many essential recipes for success from working through challenges with executives, leaders, teams, and entire organizations to help them be more effective in many ways. Our pinnacle offerings are Executive Coaching, Private Executive Peer Groups, and Organizational Transformation Consulting.

Todd Girvin

Todd - START Group

Founder of The START Group

Todd Girvin is an experienced executive coach and mentor with a long history in technology, training, consulting, and executive leadership. He brings a natural curiosity about people and the challenges they face to every relationship. He partners with Vistage Worldwide to chair Executive Peer Advisory Boards and provides executive coaching across a variety of industries.

Before founding The START Group, Todd was co-founder of Improving, a software development services firm delivering consulting, project services, and training to IT professionals and executives in a wide variety of industries around the world. At Improving, Todd was a corporate board member, SVP of the Microsoft Practice and Partnership, and President of the Improving Houston branch. He was a co-author and instructor of Improving’s training curricula and creator of the AgileDotNet conference.

Todd started his career as a software development consultant and cut his teeth in leadership at a young age, tending towards employment with smaller businesses but serving clients of all sizes, working with startups to Fortune 100 companies and even the Federal Reserve. He’s a life-long learner who reads voraciously and loves to discuss everything from technology to philosophy, SCUBA to growing businesses. His passion is Intentional Leadership
